Transportation
Busing
Brentwood School contracts with Tumbleweed Transportation to provide bus service (primarily door-to-door) for approximately 180 West Campus (K-6) students and service for an increasing number of East Campus students, with pickup and drop off at predetermined locations. Routes are re-established each year based on the enrollment of those families interested in the service and on the goal that bus rides normally should be no longer than 45-50 minutes. The cost for service in 2007-2008 will be $950 for West Campus riders and $1,195 for East Campus riders. Families receiving financial aid pay a pro-rated portion of the cost based on the amount of their award.
Carpools
The challenge of orchestrating safe traffic patterns for our school families and unobtrusive vehicular movement through our residential neighborhood is daunting but vital. Only with complete cooperation and consistent implementation of our plan will we achieve our goals. The school recognizes that compliance with our requests is not always convenient. But our requests are the result of thoughtful planning in a less-than-perfect situation. A heartfelt thanks to all in advance.
Carpooling is essential to a smooth arrival and departure. Please make every effort to use the address information furnished by the school to assist in identifying and contacting other families in your neighborhood. Fewer cars entering the neighborhood and making the trip to school during the prime morning and afternoon hours will make for a safer and more efficient traffic pattern and will allow us to operate within the guidelines of our Conditional Use Permit.
For full carpool guidelines please refer to your Parent Student Handbook.
