Thank you for your interest in the Lower school of Brentwood School. Our goal is to make the application process individualized, personal, and as relaxed as possible.

A school can do many things for a young child. It can build a strong foundation for future academic achievement, it can nurture an environment for creative exploration, and it can provide an arena for athletic development. It can teach things old and new. But a great school also teaches children how to find balance in their lives, a balance that will be the key to their future success, health, and happiness. Brentwood is that school, demanding academic excellence from its students while sparking their curiosity and creativity, exercising both body and mind, and providing a warm, welcoming environment where each student has a unique role to play.

We seek children with a passion to learn and a desire to explore the many facets of their personalities, and who as Brentwood students will develop new skills, reveal hidden talents, and challenge themselves to achieve things that they may have thought impossible. And we look for parents who can become a key part of a thriving community that offers seemingly endless possibilities for children to grow—academically, artistically, and athletically—while providing the kind of personal attention that only a family can give.

We know that every student who arrives at Brentwood is unique. We make sure that all our students leave Brentwood with a depth and breadth of experience and awareness that will lead to the highest levels of success as their lives unfold.
