The Brentwood School Alumni Association is working hard to develop meaningful networking opportunities for our members. We invite you to join the Eagle Career Network!
The Eagle Career Network (ECN) is a corps of Brentwood School alumni, parents of alumni, and current parents who volunteer to provide career-related advice and assistance to BWS students and alumni as they explore various professions, embark on a first job, consider a career change, plan a relocation, or seek contacts in their job field.
Your Alumni Association membership grants you access to our many ECN volunteers. Our network database houses the professional profiles of our alumni and parents who are willing to offer career assistance. Feel to contact them if you are seeking advice, and we also encourage you to use this service to network with fellow Brentwood School alumni.
If you choose to be an ECN advisor, involvement can range from offering brief informational interviews over the phone and/or e-mail, to assisting users with job and internship leads (also see jobs & internships board), providing resume reviews, or hosting onsite job visits. Volunteers can decide how involved they want to be, depending on the time they have to give.

- Am I qualified to be an advisor? Hide
If you have any type of professional experience, you will be an asset. Whether you are still in graduate school, completing an internship, just starting your career, or you have been in the corporate world for years, we seek mentors who are willing to provide advice at many levels.
- What exactly will I do as a volunteer? Hide
As an ECN volunteer advisor, you share your career knowledge, perspective, and experiences with BWS students and alumni interested in your field. Advisors are not expected to offer or find jobs for network users. This program is not a job placement service. However, you may choose to offer informational interviews, referrals to other professionals, and other resources that may lead to jobs.
- Will I be bombarded with phone calls/e-mail messages? Hide
The ECN database allows you to choose to have your profile inactive for periods of time at your choosing. Users will only be able to send you e-mails or call you if you choose to show your information.
- Can I use the ECN for my own networking needs? Hide
Absolutely. You can benefit from this partnership in addition to offering your expertise to users. By joining ECN, you gain access to other alumni professionals and parents who may be useful in your own career development. Additionally you may take advantage of the database’s Jobs & internships Postings Board.
