Once enrolled at Brentwood School, every parent is automatically a member of both the Parents Association and the Eagles Association.
The Parents Association plays an essential role in the life of Brentwood School. The goal of the organization is to maintain a close relationship between the parents and the school. The Parents Association provides opportunities for the parent body to participate in a community of interests, acts as a resource for the school, and helps raise money for the school through the Parents Association Benefit and Auction each spring and the annual Party Book (see below).
The Parents Association also serves as a resource to classroom teachers, community service programs, the library, admissions and performing arts hospitality, in addition to a multitude of other programs and events. Involvement in the Parents Association facilitates parents’ connection to each other and to Brentwood School.
Parents Association Events and Volunteer Opportunities
The Parents Association (PA) offers activities and volunteer opportunities that enhance our sense of community at Brentwood School.
The annual PA Benefit, a fabulous dinner and auction, takes place each spring—and they know how to throw a party! You can participate by:
- making a tax-deductible gift to underwrite some portion of the event
- purchasing tickets to attend
- donating or purchasing auction items
In addition, the annual Party Book kicks off early in the school year and is another popular way to become involved. This is a great opportunity to have fun and meet new people. All parties are underwritten by hosts. You can help by:
- hosting or co-hosting a party, the costs of which may be tax-deductible as a gift-in-kind
- purchasing admission to parties
- All funds raised become part of the Parents Association’s year-end gift to the school’s endowment fund.
Other efforts of the Parent Association include spirit wear sales and Parent University, a special day dedicated to topics relevant to all parents.
