Lower Division (K-6)

Welcome to the Lower Division: Grades K-6. The Lower Division provides a learning atmosphere filled with endless possibilities.

Children are encouraged to be curious and creative while developing confidence in their abilities. The curriculum is traditional in nature with an emphasis on reading, writing, and math, yet the teaching and learning process is child-centered. Written and designed by the faculty, our program is unique to Brentwood School. Grades study various themes integrated with the subjects of social studies, science, and other “special” subjects. Basic skills are taught, and the thematic approach encourages students to retain their enthusiasm and love for learning at the same time as they are learning the basic building blocks of school work.

Community of Caring

The core values of trust, respect, responsibility, honesty, caring, and community build the foundation of our community and our character education program at Brentwood School. Learn More »

The committee came up with many fun ideas for celebrating Black History Month on the West Campus. Their input and creativity shaped what turned out to be a series of meaningful activities for students and adults alike...

  • West Campus 100th Day & Valentine's Day Fun

Photo February 14 was a big day on the West Campus...students celebrated the 100th Day of the year by either dressing up like a 100-year old person, or representing the number 100 with their clothes. On top of that, the campus was a sea of red and pink as everyone put on their Valentine's Day finery and spread a little love. And the Kindergarten parents and guardians got to experience all of the fun as they participated in Kindergarten Parents Day. Click the image and check out the video for a snapshot of this very special West Campus day!
