Brentwood School’s Middle Division Athletic program fields as many as 48 teams in various leagues in any given year.
This tradition of wide and enthusiastic participation is fostered by our philosophy of a no-cut policy. We have developed a tradition of excellence due to the hard work of many coaches, many of whom also teach at the school, and the dedication of a large number of very talented scholar athletes.

Statement of Philosophy for Athletics
Brentwood School believes that physical education and athletics complement and enrich the academic experience and are integral to every student’s education and personal growth. To that end, we offer a comprehensive 7th through 12th Grade physical education curriculum and a wide array of interscholastic athletics in order to foster a love of sport and a life-long commitment to health and fitness. We view coaches as teachers and the fields and courts as extensions of the classroom. We encourage our students to participate and to strive for excellence. The school seeks to produce highly competitive teams and prizes character, sportsmanship, and teamwork.
