Parent Participation

Parents at Brentwood School are enthusiastic participants in the life of the school. As active members of the Parents Association or the Eagles Association, as volunteers in the library, as admissions tour guides, as classroom helpers, or in the stands at games and in the audience at concerts, parent involvement is sure to have a meaningful impact on your children's memories of their school years. Parent participation is a significant piece of our rich history and serves as the cornerstone of our community.

Another aspect of parent participation is annual giving, which is essential to every independent school. Each year, we ask Brentwood School families to support the Brentwood Fund, our program for annual giving, by making a gift that is appropriate to their particular circumstances. Every single gift makes a difference in the lives of our students. Our beautiful campuses, outstanding teachers, wide variety of extra-curricular programs, and our strong commitment to financial aid are just some of the many reasons families enthusiastically support the Brentwood Fund. Our continued excellence depends on the partnership of the entire school community.

Parent Education

No one has a bigger impact on the life of a child than his or her parents. We believe that life-long learning is a goal for parents as well as students. Brentwood School provides parents with tools and resources that may help with communication skills, provide a better understanding of child development issues, familiarize them with various academic and enrichment programs, and develop relationships with one another and with the school community. The Benefits of School Involvement

Recently, I was a guide for a prospective family touring Brentwood for the first time. As we walked through the campus our paths crossed with Mike Riera, Bob Cooke, and Will Bladt, all who stopped to say hello and welcome the family to Brentwood.
