Administrative Assistant, Belldegrun Center for Innovative Leadership & Equity and Inclusion

Brentwood School, a vibrant and diverse K-12 independent school, is looking for a Administrative Assistant for both the Belldegrun Center for Innovative Leadership (BCIL) and the Director of Equity and Inclusion beginning September, 2018. We are seeking individuals with administrative experience to assist the Directors of both the Belldegrun Center for Innovative Leadership and other Center Coordinators, as well as the Director of Equity and Inclusion. This position reports to both the BCIL Director and E and I Director. Candidates should possess the qualities and skills noted below.

Duties & responsibilities including, but not limited to:

  • Handling the daily needs of the BCIL and assisting our K-12 faculty and student body on BCIL related work
  • Handling the daily needs of E and I and assisting our K-12 faculty and student body with E and I work, including but not limited to affinity groups, major events and special activities, Diversity Council, curriculum and professional development planning and communication
  • Coordinating special activities and events (some of which may be outside of school hours) with the BCIL and E and I
  • Monitoring calls, copying, ordering supplies, handling receipts, and maintaining equipment
  • Maintaining all information on BCIL community partners
  • Coordinating and attending BCIL committee/department meetings
  • Maintaining calendars for E and I and the BCIL
  • Provide communication for diversity events and news on campus
  • Assist with peer mentoring programs and special events
  • Coordinate logistics for the BCIL incubator and speaker series
  • Coordinate student and adult travel arrangements for related conferences
  • Assist with public relations, marketing, and promotions
  • Assist with related internshipsOther duties as assigned by the Center for Innovative Leadership and Director of Equity and Inclusion
