Transportation

Brentwood School is located in a residential community, and we care about being good neighbors. The fundamental commitment made in our Conditional Use Permit (CUP) and neighborhood agreements is to dramatically reduce traffic on both campuses and to eliminate pick-up, drop-off, and parking in the surrounding neighborhoods.

In the 2026-27 school year, all of the following conditions must be met on the East Campus:

  • Total maximum allowed car trips (in and out) cannot exceed 1,044 on any given day (300 inbound)
  • 40% average daily bus ridership
  • Average vehicle ridership (AVR) of 3 in the morning and 2.2 in the afternoon
  • No pickup or dropoff in the Village or surrounding neighborhood
  • No parking in the Village, VA lot, or surrounding neighborhood
  • Student-driven carpool = driver + 3 East Campus students (4 East Campus students total)*
  • Parent-driven carpool = driver + 3 East Campus students*

* During peak hours, 7:30-9 a.m. and 3-7 p.m.

On the West Campus, the following conditions must be met:

  • 40% average daily bus ridership
  • A West Campus carpool = driver + at least 2 West Campus students
  • Average vehicle ridership (AVR) of 3 in the morning and afternoon
  • No waiting or parking in the neighborhood

To comply with our (CUP) and neighborhood agreements, we offer a range of transportation options. The best option is riding the bus, and the next would be participating in a complete carpool. We expect all Brentwood School families to model our Core Values by following our transportation rules.
