In a groundbreaking initiative, the College Counseling Department at Brentwood School organized its first-ever Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) College Tour from January 15 to 17. This transformative tour aimed to provide exposure to a diverse range of college options, marking a significant milestone in the school's commitment to broadening the horizons of its students.

Our College Counseling programming is comprehensive and personalized. As Upper School students prepare for the transition to life beyond Brentwood School, they receive thoughtful, individual, and professional guidance from the school's experienced college guidance team. Through parent/guardian coffees, evening events, and one-one-one meetings, counselors help students grow in self-understanding and recognize the full range of college choices available so they can find a school that represents a strong, match for their goals and needs.
Reaching Beyond the Familiar
As the dust settles from Decision Day on May 1, high school seniors around the world have now committed to colleges, and for Brentwood seniors, decisions followed a long and deliberate search and selection process.
So how did they reach their decisions? Our approach to college counseling begins with self-discovery...
Statement of Philosophy
Our counselors know the students well. They prioritize personal connections and are easily accessible — students regularly schedule their own meetings to ask questions or just to check in. With a breadth of expertise among them, our counselors support students interested in international schools, industry-specific programs, arts, STEM, and more.
