Apply for Financial Support
Welcome to the financial support process. We have partnered with Clarity to process financial support applications. Based on the information you supply, Clarity provides an estimate of the amount your family should contribute toward tuition.
The financial support program assists qualified K-12 students who would not be able to attend Brentwood School without tuition help. To receive a financial support award, which is based solely on financial need, a family must meet the financial support criteria established by Brentwood School. For new students, admission and financial support are administered separately, with no financial support decisions made until admission decisions are finalized. Additionally, we recognize that there are school expenses beyond tuition, so the school also provides support for expenses including, but not limited to, books, retreat fees, transportation, field trips, and the lunch program.
Awards are made based upon our Financial Support Guidelines, an analysis of each family’s need within the limitation of budgeted funds, and in keeping with the NAIS Principles of Good Practice.
The Financial Support Committee implements policies and procedures and makes all financial support decisions. While the committee reviews the recommended award calculation from Clarity when determining the amount of financial support offered to an applicant, the final decision is based on the committee’s analysis of financial need. The committee will not review and process any financial support award until Clarity has completed its calculations and all application forms/documents have been received.
Application Process
- Clarity Application: All families interested in applying for financial support must complete the Clarity application by Friday, January 17, 2025. (The original January 10 deadline was extended to help families affected by the fires. Please be in touch with questions or special circumstances.)
- IRS Form 4506-C: In addition to completing the Clarity application, families must also submit 2023 federal income tax returns by Friday, January 17, 2025. Clarity has pre-filled the IRS form 4506-C for families. This form authorizes the IRS to automatically transfer your family’s 2023 W2’s and income tax returns into your application.
- 2024 W-2’s and 1099’s: All families applying for assistance must submit 2024 W2’s and 2024 1099’s on or before Friday, February 7, 2025.
- 2024 Federal Income Tax Returns: All families must submit 2024 federal income tax returns, Schedule A, and all other applicable schedules to Clarity by April 15, 2025.

Please note that all information requested must be in the applicant's file on or before each of the due dates. Applicants with incomplete files as of Friday, February 14, 2025, will be placed on a financial support waitlist.
