Bring your own MacBook Program (BYOM)

All 6th-12th Grade students participate in our technology initiative, the 1:1 Bring Your Own MacBook (BYOM) Program, where every incoming student is required to have a MacBook for daily use on campus.

MacBook To-Do List

MacBooks are a useful tool for students to complete their work in and out of the classroom. They also allow teachers to work with students in class to meet the educational technology goals of our program. Whether using their MacBook to access a digital textbook, collaborate with peers, conduct research, or code in a computer science class, MacBooks are versatile and enrich the students’ learning experience.

For the 2024-2025 school year, families of students entering 6th or new to Brentwood School have the opportunity to purchase a MacBook through the school's lease to own program. Brentwood School offers a purchase program where families may pay for the computer over an 8-month period, interest free. When opting for the school's MacBook Purchase Program, Middle School students will receive a 13" MacBook Air M2 8GB RAM and a 256GB hard drive totaling $1138 and Upper School students will receive a 13" MacBook Air M3 8GB RAM and a 256GB hard drive totaling $1336.91 . This includes the Apple Education price and the Apple Care+ for Schools warranty.

We strongly encourage purchasing your student’s new MacBook through Brentwood School since it also includes an Apple Care+ for Schools warranty (see below) only available through school purchases.

Students receiving financial support will purchase their MacBook through Brentwood School and receive the same discount percentage that is outlined in their financial support agreement and the Apple Care+ for Schools warranty.

Purchasing a MacBook through BWS is a summer program. Emails go out in the spring to place an order and then MacBooks are available for pickup in August.

MacBooks purchased through BWS prior to the 2022-2023 School year did not include Apple Care+.
