Parents and Families

Brentwood School is more than a location where students learn, it is a community of families who all grow in character together.Parent involvement is essential to our vibrant school experience. As a school, we see ourselves as partners with parents and guardians in educating young minds. Ours is a community of actively involved families, whether serving as admissions tour guides, participating in affinity groups, volunteering in the classroom, and more.

Parents Association

The Parents Association (PA) offers activities and volunteer opportunities that enhance our sense of community at Brentwood School. Every parent and guardian of a Brentwood School student is automatically a member of the Parents Association. Together parents collaborate to strengthen their connection to one another and to the school. Our shared purpose is to build personal connections, serve as a community ambassadors, contribute valuable resources, and support and sustain Brentwood School, present and future.

About Us

About Us

The Parents Association (PA) is part of the heart and soul of our community at Brentwood School. The PA is comprised of an executive board, many standing committees, and hundreds of volunteers. We remain grateful to be part of a community that values parent involvement—the kind that supports the school so that we can deliver the daily experience that our children love. There are many ways to be active within the PA, and we welcome all parents and guardians to join our fabulous team of volunteers!

Affinity Groups

Affinity Groups

Parent Affinity Groups on our campus allow families to share their culture with each other. Parents and guardians support their associated Student Affinity Groups through regular meetings, a leadership retreat, and representation on the Parents Association Executive Board.

Fundraising

Parents Association Fundraising

The Parents Association sponsors three main fundraising activities: EagleBook, EagleWear sales, and our Annual Benefit. All funds raised through their efforts become part of the Parents Association’s year-end gift to the school’s endowment fund.

EagleBook

The annual EagleBook kicks off early in the school year, offering families the opportunity to create and strengthen bonds between parents, guardians, and other members of the Brentwood School community. Events are hosted and underwritten by other Brentwood School families with an eye toward community engagement and fun.

EagleWear

Designed by members of the PA, EagleWear consists of apparel and accessories for both adults and children. EagleWear is sold online and at school events throughout the year so that families have many opportunities to showcase their school pride.

Benefit

The annual PA Benefit, a fabulous, adult-only dinner and auction, is a favorite community building event. Families participate by underwriting the Benefit, donating auction items, and purchasing tickets to enjoy the entertainment and activities planned each year by the Benefit committee of the PA.

This consortium works together to bring dynamic and intriguing speakers to our school families, both strengthening community ties and encouraging continuing inquiry.

Lower School Grandparents and Special Friends Days

Every spring, the West Campus opens its doors to friends of Brentwood School for a fun-filled week of performances and classroom activities.

After a lovely breakfast reception, grandparents and special friends enjoy a taste of the daily life of our Lower School students.
