ONCE ENROLLED AT BRENTWOOD SCHOOL, EVERY PARENT IS AUTOMATICALLY A MEMBER OF BOTH THE PARENTS ASSOCIATION AND THE EAGLES ASSOCIATION.
The Brentwood School Parents Association (PA) is a thriving community of Brentwood School parents and guardians. The PA has three main objectives. Our first is to support the school's faculty and administration. This partnership is the foundation of what we do, and it is respected and appreciated here at Brentwood. The second objective of the PA is to plan activities throughout the year. The PA’s third objective is to raise money via focused efforts throughout the year. The proceeds from these fundraisers support the cost of our programming and events, and provide a substantial monetary gift to impact the Brentwood School Endowment.
PARENTS ASSOCIATION EVENTS AND VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
The Parents Association (PA) offers activities and volunteer opportunities that enhance our sense of community at Brentwood School.
The annual PA Benefit, a fabulous dinner and auction, takes place each spring—and they know how to throw a party! You can participate by:
- making a tax-deductible gift to underwrite some portion of the event
- purchasing tickets to attend
- donating or purchasing auction items
In addition, the annual Party Book kicks off early in the school year and is another popular way to become involved. This is
great opportunity to have fun and meet new people. All parties are underwritten by hosts. You can help by:
- hosting or co-hosting a party, the costs of which may be tax-deductible as a gift-in-kind
- purchasing admission to parties
- All funds raised become part of the Parents Association’s year-end gift to the school’s endowment fund.
Other efforts of the Parent Association include Eagle Wear merchandise for sale and Parent University, a special day dedicated to topics relevant to all parents.

This special interactive discussion will equip you with the latest research on teen vaping, e-cigarettes, and what we can do as parents to help our kids better understand the effects.
School Speaker Alliance of Los Angeles (SSALA)
The School Speaker Alliance of Los Angeles (SSALA) was founded in 2017 by a group of 10 Los Angeles-area independent school parent leaders who had a desire to explore issues relevant to parenting and education in our increasingly challenging society. This all-volunteer consortium works together to bring dynamic and intriguing speakers to our school families, both strengthening community ties and encouraging continuing inquiry. The Brentwood School Parents Association is proud to participate in this consortium. Stay tuned for future events!
If you missed the recent Mitch Prinstein event at Harvard-Westlake, you may watch the video here. (Link will be available until November 1.)
Every other year, the Brentwood School Parents Association hosts Parent University, a conference on a wide range of parenting topics presented by a variety of outstanding guest speakers. The goal of this one-day event is to give our Brentwood School community a unique opportunity to learn from parenting experts that specialize in issues and topics that we face in our daily lives as parents and guardians.
