"Body Building" in the 1st Grade

The Lower School Science team, once again, conducted the awesome "body building" lesson in the 1st Grade Human Body Unit. Students learned about many of the body systems including skeletal, circulatory, respiratory, nervous and digestive by creating "body bags," complete with working lungs, esophagus, and stomach. They used straws and cardboard and paper towel rolls, along with brain hats and other detailing to show their organs on the outside. It's a super fun project that always brings laughter and learning. Students were excited to parade back to their homerooms in their new "body bag" uniforms...
