For the past 18 years, 1st through 6th graders have been invited to participate in our Lower School Invention Convention. The task is to dream up a new invention or modify an existing invention. Students may make an actual working prototype or a model or even a drawing of their idea. The goal is not to win a competition, but to use their creativity to solve a problem or help their community.
Sixth Grade participation is part of their curriculum. Each year they are asked to solve an environmental problem. This year, they were tasked to come up with ideas to solve traffic problems in the LA area.
It's impressive to see the variety of creative ideas that our students dream up, particularly from our youngest students. Ms.Taylor and I would like to thank each student who participated this year. Well done!
