Seventh graders are learning to use their computers for good as they recently finished a project in Human Development that combined digital citizenship, design, and desktop publishing. After a lesson on cyber-ethics and netiquette, the students participated in an online Schoology discussion, sharing their reactions to several ethical dilemmas, written by the HD teachers, centered around cheating in school.
After the digital citizenship lesson the students used the desktop publishing website Canva to create positive message posters relating to online behaviors for print and digital viewing around campus. Please be on the lookout for their posters. This is part of our "For what GOOD will YOU use YOUR computer?" campaign and will no doubt have an impact on the Middle School and beyond.
