Upper School (9-12)
During the course of a day in the Upper School, our students not only engage in rigorous academics but also reach beyond themselves to explore new interests and sharpen established skills. No two days are ever the same. We engage our students in real-world conversations, preparing them for the world they will live in, not just the one we grew up in. Constantly innovating our teaching methods, we care for our students and challenge them to validate and understand other's perspectives and to grow in understanding and empathy. As they are known and seen, our students regularly pursue service and leadership opportunities. It's not surprising, then, that so many of our programs are student-initiated and student-run. Brentwood students pursue their curiosities at an impressive level of depth.
The Upper School is a special time in a student’s academic and social-emotional growth. We do an amazing job creating situations where students can take risks, pursue their interests, and dive deeper into the areas they are most curious about. We equip our students for the challenges they will face during their time at Brentwood and those they encounter in the world beyond our school. I encourage you to explore our website and our campus to get a sense of our engaging community in action.
